Gordon's art descriptions are sometimes humorous. For example, have you heard the joke about the two Jewish art specialists at Christie’s? One said to the other the day before his huge art auction on a Monday. "If I live, I'll see you Tuesday. If I don't, oy vey. Just call me Loic and mazel tov!" (This bit of humor is compliments of art expert, Loic Gouzer's, "If I live, I'll see you Tuesday" contemporary art sale at Christie’s on Monday, May 12, 2014, which was actually hugely successful.) Mr. Gouzer is a great asset to the art world as Deputy Chairman of Post-War and Contemporary art at Christie’s.

Gordon has shown his work at numerous solo and group exhibitions. His commissioned paintings are included in private collections throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and Dubai.

In his work, Gordon attempts to go beyond surface appearances and penetrate deeper essential truths. He subscribes to Van Gogh's theory of art that, "Real painters do not paint things as they are. They paint them as they themselves feel them to be." This allows Gordon to capture the essence of his subject while also giving him the flexibility to interpret and communicate through intriguing patterns of color, design and style.

Like his brother in art Vincent Van Gogh, Gordon is largely self-taught and learned his artistic craft by studying the works of the masters and then replicating them to the best of his talent and ability for his own personal collection. He also took art classes while attending Rutgers University, which helped in his pursuit and career as an artist.

Gordon's evocative artwork is notable for its stunning beauty employing bold, vivid colors. Painted or digitally created on canvases up to six feet in length, his works are bright, colorful and imbued with passion.

One or more of Gordon's original works would make an excellent addition to your fine art collection. In addition, you'll receive a detailed COA (Certificate of Authenticity) regarding each work that has been authenticated and signed by the artist.
