What is your award winning short film "Celluloid Dreams" about?
Oscar:registered: qualified and award winning short film, CELLULOID DREAMS tells the story of an old man who fixes a busted projector to relive home movies of the past, and starts to believe he can change them. It is a story about love, loss and cherishing the precious moments you have in life with people that affect it the most.
How long did you take to make this film? What was the process like (to you)?
From script to screen it took about 6 months. It is a very personal project so I wanted to make sure we took our time with production and doing it right. Shooting on 16mm film for the flashbacks and then digital for the present day to get those juxtapositions were very important to me.
Who is starring in it?
Starring Stephen Colletti (@StephenColletti) as Young Robert, Crystal Mantecón (@crystalmantecon) as Deanna and Greg Lucey as Robert Thompson
Why did you choose to make this short film about an old man? Who or what events inspired you in the development of this character?
The old man reflects time and memories, regretting moments and finally be able to accept them and move on. I was also very close to my grandfather and ultimately this is a "thank you" letter to him, as I wouldn't be the person I am today without having him in my life.
When will it be premiered?
